Today's the big day we've been waiting for. So many of you were kind enough to apply for the design team and after weeks of pouring through all of the wonderful items you sent, I had to narrow the choices down.
I'd like to introduce you to my charter design team... and let them tell you a little bit about themselves. Please meet the Sassy Girls....!
Hello everyone! I'm Ann and I'm thrilled to be here. Growing up with two very creative and talented parents was a bit intimidating! My father was an architect who doodled and painted in his free time. My mother was a fabric designer pre-family but being the dutiful wife and mother in the 50's, gave that up to raise us. She has never given up her talent or her ability to create-a silhouette artist, a needle worker and designer, a rug hooker... So, as a child, I was very private about my doodling and coloring-but doodle and color I did! Oh, and I loved paper dolls! I found my own niche when my kids were little creating beautiful hand-smocked garments for them. When all 5 children finally aged out of those, I discovered scrap-booking and became passionate about it. Anyone who scrapbooks at least dabbles in card making but it wasn't until spring of '09 that I got hooked. Coloring is, quite simply, a form of therapy. I love adding life to these fabulous images!
I am married to a super supportive, oh, so wonderful man, the proud mother of 5 grown children, all artists (some visual, some performing, some both!), and am a sort-of-retired educator/teacher, currently a care provider for my dear mother. Living in a small, remote town, the world of card making has become a key to my ongoing happiness!
My name is Christa and I reside in the Netherlands! A couple of years ago I met some ‘Crazy Girls’ (a club of crafters on the internet) and I fell in love with stamping. Since that time I've become really addicted to this hobby and I also became a great collector of stamps, design papers, ribbons, flowers … I can’t resist all those beautiful things.
I am happily married to Kees and every day I try to find some time for stamping. I am very proud to be a Sassy Girl and I hope that my cards will make you smile!!
I am looking forward to creating and having fun with this wonderfully talented team!
I was introduced to rubber stamping through my daughters who create beautiful scrapbooks and cards. I have been stamping for about 5 years. I was fortunate enough to become Copic Certified when the one and only Mary Ann came to Kansas City in October of 2008 for a certification class. It is nice to be able to say I am not only certifiable but certified!!!
I live by the motto that "you never outgrow your need to color" and I'm thrilled to be a Sassy Girl!
Hi, my name is Tracy Jackson. I live in clean, green New Zealand, work full time as a Cheese Sensory Evaluator, am married, and have 2 beautiful girls, oh.. and I'm a Domestic Goddess. Phew... no wonder I am busy! I have been card making for 5 years now, have been lucky enough to be on various Design Teams in the past and are very excited to be part of Cheryl's DT "Sassy Cheryl's".
For me card making and anything crafty provides a creative outlet. I am looking forward to working with the rest of the talented team to inspire and encourage.
I've been stamping for almost 7 years! One of my daughters had a workshop so I felt obligated to go... you know "it's family"... "I wouldn't even use this stuff"... YEAH RIGHT! I was hooked! The rest is history! LOL!
My style? I asked a dear friend how she would describe me and she had this to say... you are a colorist and heavily technique oriented... a "purist" of stampers... very little use of preprinted patterned papers and embellishments (lol... not that I don't have this stuff, I just don't reach for it often!) I am working on that!! I would be lost without my Spellbinder's Nestabilities & Cuttlebug, Copics, Reinkers (for water coloring), and Prismacolor Pencils!
I’m a “50-something” wife of 36 yrs, mom to 5 children (3 married, 1 still at home) and grandmother to 9 (ages 13-4). When I’m not stamping, I’m tending to my llamas! I have 14 (down from 30 something!) that we use for our 4H club, show in competition, take to nursing homes etc. I also spin their fiber on a spinning wheel and make yarn! Oh... and I'm thrilled to be a Sassy Girl!
Hi everyone. I am Jackie Mooney, I live in Dublin,Ireland. I am married with a teenage son, I have been passionate about paper crafting since I was a child and started card making and collecting rubber stamps fifteen years ago so have built up quite a collection over the years, I have tried many different techniques and styles and love a crafty challenge. I organise my own workshops/cardmaking classes here in Dublin once a month (which I love) and have been doing so for over a year. My other passion is Photography. I'm excited about being part of the Sassy Cheryl Design Team!
My name is Kim Rhead. I live in rural Saskatchewan Canada. I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I work part time at our local hospital. I have been stamping for about 14 years now. Card making is my passion and am always looking for new ideas and techniques. I am a member of Splitcoast Stampers. I do have other hobbies: knitting, sewing and digital scrapbooking. I am a design team member for Squigglefly and welcome the opportunity to work with the great images from Sassy Cheryl's.
Hello everyone.. I'm Alina Meijer. I'm married and have one daughter, Stefanie, age seven. Nine years ago I started making cards. I know Nellie Snellen and I was quite fond of her punches and dies. For the last two years I have enjoyed making cards. I have a lot of things ''collected'' from split pins to a Cuttlebug and I can say I enjoy the best hobby of all. I'm so happy to be part of Sassy Cheryl's charter design team. Thank you for this opportunity.
Hi everyone! I'm Chrissy and I live in western Pennsylvania. I'm married and have a 3-year old. I love coloring, especially with Copics and love working with digi stamps because they are easily accessible, cheap and sizable. I'm also addicted to collecting papers and my iTouch. Some of my other hobbies are.....what other hobbies?? Copics and blogging takes up all my "hobby" time ;) . I enjoy spoiling my daughter with a gazillion toys and video games, weekend drives with the family, camping, and 5 hour long mall trips. I'm very excited to work with such a talented team and delightful artist like Cheryl, and I adore her work!
I've a great husband and two grown sons, I'm a P.A.M. (Proud Army Mom), but I'm not a grandmom yet. So, you might find my cards sometimes have a feminine touch being I'm the only gal in the house. We are owned by three very lovable, mini "Barky Von Schnauzers" who keep us hopping.
I'm so thrilled to be a Sassy Girl.. After you see this talented team Cheryl has put together you will know that I was asked to join for my administrative/organizational skills and my humor! :)
In the near future, we'll have guest designer spots and design team calls...so, stay tuned. We love your creativity and interpretation of the Sassy Cheryl images.
Special thanks to all of you. We appreciate you stopping by and visiting. There's lots planned for some terrific challenges (and free images) begining Tuesday. So, we'll see you then! Until then... be "Sassy"!!
