Hello Sassy friends! Welcome to our challenge for this week. We've got a fun one in store for you, AND we are gearing up to celebrate 100 challenges in just two weeks.. so be sure to stay tuned to hear more about our festivities. Lots of good stuff coming up!

We had a bit of a communication challenge in our last challenge, so to speak (no pun intended). We had a sketch that Dawn created to go along with the snow in our projects. But, unfortunately, many posts did not follow the sketch and we had to ask our sassy friends to resubmit. Please check out the details of our challenge when you plan to join us. We're baaaaack!! The sassy gals really seemed to enjoy their time off and now they are refreshed and ready to go with a lot of great stuff for 2012. There's lots in store. Fair warning, though. I spoke with some of them earlier in our group message board.. and they are just full of sassiness!!

Before we get to our regularly-scheduled program, we just wanted to let you know that the sassy gals will be taking a bit of a much needed break to celebrate the holidays with their families. Challenge #93 - It's Santa!!

Hello to all of our sassy friends! And 'super thanks' to all of you who got to join in our challenge last week. We loved seeing all of your cards and we had so many great entries.

We announced in early November that we are selecting one person from our November entries who will become our guest designer for the month of December. We're in awe of all of the lovely cards and paper projects everyone contributed, and, of course, we wish we could have all of you as our guest designer... but the one person who really stood out was FairySparkle...and she gets to proudly display this logo

AND FairySparkle will join us for the next month as our guest designer. Thank you everyone for joining us! We'll do this again to give more of our sassy friends a chance to come and get sassy with us.

Challenge #92 - Winter

Woot-woot!! We're sending out a "super thank you" to all of our challenge participants this week. We certainly had an outstanding response to our "Anything Goes" challenge... and we love you for it. We're looking for a guest designer from our November entrants.. so we do hope you will join us and play along - there's just this week left if you want to jump in. You just might be the lucky person who is selected to come and join us for the month of December.

Just so you know, we used to draw a random number for the $5 gift certificate to Sassy Cheryl's shop. But now that you can enter any card or paper project, those who use a sassy Cheryl image get an extra entry in the drawing, and a random number selection just won't work any more. So here's what I do.. I put all of the names in a hat (it's really a Huggies Wipe container - he-he) and draw a name. That's how the lucky winner is picked. I tried to get one of my dogs to pick, but that just wouldn't work. Trust me on this. My dogs want to eat and shred all of paper....I really tried to get creative.

As the month of October wraps up, we just want to remind all of our friends once more to set aside some time for their annual breast exam. The sassy gals are all hoping that we will eradicate breast cancer in our lifetime!!

Challenge #86 - Pink & a Sketch

Hello Sassy friends!! We're continuing with our Pink theme for the entire month of October... and it's all to help our friends remember that it's important to make sure we check the 'girls' on a yearly basis. You do remember to get that mammogram, right?? To show how much you love them, make sure to prod your sister, mother, friends and aunties to do the same too! And it wouldn't hurt for the guys to be more observant either.. it's not a disease that is gender specific as we have come to know. So prod them too!

The word continues to spread that Sassy Cheryl's challenge no longer requires participants to use a Sassy Cheryl image and that translates to more and more people playing along with us in the weekly challenge. This week, and throughout the month of October the sassy gals are 'thinking pink' to remind all of our friends of the need for annual breast exams as well as raising awareness of breast cancer. Woot-woot! Lots of entries this week as the word spreads that we no longer require entrants to use a Sassy Cheryl image in our weekly challenge (although we do love to see them if you've got them). That big change has been received well and we love seeing all of your lovely creations. Keep up the great work, sassy friends.. we appreciate you so much.

To keep the drawing above-board and so everyone knows, here's what we did for our random drawing (until we find an easier way to do this). Whew, what a week.. Sassy Cheryl and several of our sassy gals live on the East Coast of the US and have had a helluva week! Before we get to the challenge details, here's a bit of very happy news from Cheryl and the Sassy team. We are so lucky that the very talented Pat Frank has joined us. Please meet Pat and give her a sassy welcome!

Hi Sassy friends! I'm Pat Frank and I'm thrilled to have been invited to join Sassy Cheryl's amazingly talented Design Team...not to mention that I get to hang with the CRAZY TALENTED Sassy Cheryl herself and play with all of her delightfully whimsical images!! One more "dream come true" for me! OK...so, Peggy asked for a short intro...hmmmmm...here goes...

I'm 50-something (more "something" than 50!) and married to my best friend who totally "gets" this crafting obsession of mine! I am so blessed to have him as my biggest fan and supporter...(and enabler"...but I prefer "supporter"! ) I am proud to be "Gramma Pat" to five incredible grandkiddos...ranging in age from almost 13 down to almost 5...4 girls and one boy! Talk about being blessed, huh? My three children and our 5 grandbabies live in Phoenix, AZ...while my hubby and I live 2000 miles to the east in Richmond, VA. Fortunately, I travel to Phoenix regularly to get my "grandbaby fix"!! I am getting ready to retire after almost 30 years of a fantastic career as a Registered Nurse, Neonatal Nurse and Educator. Now, I look forward to days of being a SAHC (stay at home crafter), homemaker, and travelin' gramma.

I've always been pretty "crafty"...but started seriously getting into coloring and cardmaking late in 2009! I traveled to Northern Virginia in the fall of 2009 to take a Copics coloring class, debuted my blog in March, 2010...I discovered digis...and the rest, as they say, is history!! Thank you so much for this incredible opportunity to join Sassy Cheryl's DT!
